Our Mission

Smart Market Insight exists to cut through the noise in the AI and SaaS software market. Hundreds of tools launch every month, most “best of” lists are written to earn affiliate commissions, and the prices quoted in them are frequently months out of date. We do the unglamorous part: reading the documentation, working out what each plan actually includes, and confirming what it really costs today.

How We Research

We are deliberately precise about what we do and what we do not do — that is what makes a comparison worth trusting:

• Desk research, not lab testing: our comparisons are built from vendor documentation, official pricing pages, product changelogs, and publicly reported user experience. We do not claim to have run every tool in production, and we never pass off press-kit material as our own testing.
• Pricing verified at the source: every price is checked against the vendor’s own pricing page, and we publish the date it was last verified. Prices are re-checked every month — so an outdated number is something we can spot and correct, not something that quietly rots on the page.
• Consistent evaluation criteria: each tool is assessed on the same axes for its category — capabilities, pricing and value, integrations, learning curve, and who it genuinely suits.
• No pay-to-play: rankings are never influenced by affiliate commissions or vendor payments. Where an article contains affiliate links, we disclose it at the top of that article.
• We correct mistakes: software moves fast. If a fact or a price is wrong, tell us — we will fix it and re-date the article.
